Pureco Base & Blocker - Ecru

A beige coloured primer, created for achieving numerous applications and effects:

• under Stain & Glaze for the Pottery Barn faux wood look
• watered down as a wash on raw timber 
• primer under Pureco Silk Finish, perfect to use with pale neutrals
• layered on thick and use wood graining tool or straw brush to create faux grain

NOTE: this product requires sealing (as it is chalky and porous).

Blocks stains, tannins, and odours, and dries matte to give a superior adhesion to most surfaces. Has awesome hiding power for imperfections on your surface and any repaired areas. 

Water based, low VOC. 

TIP: to test for tannins, paint on Base & Blocker and leave overnight to see if strong bleedthrough occurs. Tannin blocking agents also work better over time, so waiting a day before adding paint gives the primer time to cure and hold tannins back. 

How to Use: 

• Create 'tooth' by sanding the surface to dull any shine, smooth off any flakes or repairs you have made. 
• Stir well. Apply 1 coat only, then paint with your chosen colour as per instructions. 
• Drying Times (at 25°C): Touch: 40 Minutes; Recoat: 4 Hours.
